ASHMEAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Project Description

Ashmead Primary School commissioned Social Fabric to develop a piece of permanent artwork which illustrated the twelve core School Values in a visually exciting way. The creative process of making the banners also helped the children to understand the meanings behind the values.

Four fabric banners were printed in workshop sessions which involved drawing and printmaking techniques. The imagery from the four banners was then digitally combined to create a large design featuring all the school values – the design was digitally printed onto a large canvas and installed as a permanent display in the school. The four original fabric banners are also on display in the school.

Children from Reception to Y6 participated in the project.

“Working with Sarah of Social Fabric was a fabulous experience. She was helpful, inspirational and professional throughout. She very quickly got what we wanted and the banners we ended up with were even better than we hoped they would be. She worked throughout the school and the workshops were very skilfully delivered. The children loved taking part and now have a really strong sense of pride in the work they produced.

I would recommend working with Sarah without hesitation.”
